Rx Bars are a relatively new but popular protein bar to hit the market. If you’ve been interested in them but you’re not totally sure what’s in them, you’re in the right place. We’re going to dive into the nutrition a bit but before we get there – let’s answer the questions of the day…
Are Rx Bars Dairy Free?
Yes! Rx Bars are Whole30 and Paleo friendly (both of which discourage dairy) and the bars do not contain milk, cheese, or whey products.
So then…are Rx Bars Vegan??
Unfortunately no. Rx Bars use dried egg whites as the base in all the protein bars and are not vegan friendly. In fact all of their products use these dried egg whites as a base in all products including the nut butters, the kids protein bars, and their morning oats in a single serve container. So if you’re following a vegan lifestyle, you’ll want to steer clear of the Rx Bar products unfortunately but there are a ton of other vegan protein bar options – some of which we’ve reviewed right here on Vegan’s Pantry. Check out the links for those reviews and round up posts below ….and keep your fingers crossed for a vegan Rx Bar soon!
