Pillsbury does produce “accidentally vegan” biscuits but most of their biscuits do contain milk and/or dairy derivatives. Keep reading to find out which biscuits are vegan!

Vegan Pillsbury Biscuits at the time of post publication:

Vegan Pillsbury Southern Homestyle Biscuits

The other Pillsbury biscuits contain dairy products in the ingredient list. Of note, the company shares processing equipment so if you have a milk allergy, the above mentioned Pillsbury biscuit flavors may contain milk. If you have a true milk allergy, please avoid possible exposure. If you are following a vegan diet, I would recommend giving these Pillsbury biscuits a try when you want a ready to go refrigerated biscuit that’s ready to bake. Surely you can make your own vegan biscuits, but let’s be real…that’s not always an option due to various limitations.

If you’re open to a different texture, I’d also recommend that you check out Pillsbury’s other “accidentally vegan” product, the Original Crescent Rolls. I like to keep a roll of these on hand to add to a vegan soup at dinner, create an appetizer with a vegan take on pigs in a blanket, or a sweet treat by adding a dollop of apple or blueberry pie filling into the center of the crescent roll before baking. SO tasty!

So again, if you’re looking for a vegan flaky biscuit that’s easy to find in grocery stores everywhere, try one of the above flavor of biscuits from Pillsbury (I really like the Pillsbury Original Southern Homestyle Biscuits) or for a softer texture that’s pretty versatile in plant-based cooking, try the Pillsbury Crescent Rolls!

And until next time vegan friends, stay kind!

Mazor is a kosher food company that makes excellent accidentally vegan flaky pastry sheets and squares (Large and small squares). Big cities have them in stores, kosher sites do online frozen mail order. Possibilities are endless- but, the squares – a spoonful of your favorite jam or chocolate and a quick fold over and bake- my favorite 20 minute impressive ‘home made’ turnovers. Tear up / shred any vegan hot dog, baloney, pastrami, spread a bit of mustard on the square, put in the shreds, fold over, press the edges, bake 15 minutes or til golden brown- even carnivores are pleasantly fooled by these quick but impressive vegan ‘pastrami’ puffs. These are some extremely simple quick ideas, but you can do so much with these.

This Mazor food company doesn’t come up when you google it. Is this the correct name?
